You cannot count on getting any more horsepower just by changeing the muffler. You also need to change the airfilter and to rejet the carb. BUT- the greatbig question you must ask yourself is "what kind of tool do I want to ride ?" The speedlimit in our country is 120 km/hour on the highway and generally that is enough for a cruiser. The Savage easily reach that speed, without modifications. I think that these modifications you plan are costing you more than they are worth. My advice is that at first you try the Hartman mods to the silencer (you'll get a WONDERFUL sound, and you'll get rid of the eventual backfiring too), and after riding your first season get back to the question...
